Epic eBook Database 

Epic is a free eBook Database that is most apropirate for students in grades Kindergarten through Second Grade.  To access Epic click on the hyperlink bellow this text and enter the class code nkq4460 (in the box on the left side of the screen under the text that reads "Student Login.")  

Next students can create their own profile by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking on the blue rectangle that reads "Create Profile."

Audible an Audiobook Database

Amazon is offering a free collection of audiobooks.  I have included links to three selections of audiobooks that are apropriate for elementary school students.

TumbleBooks eBook Databases (on the PPPL CyberShelf)

Our public library has opened up TumbleBooks (K-2), TumbleBookCloud Junior (3-5), and TumbleMath (K-5) for public access without a library card.  To open these eBook Databases click on the PPPL Cybershelf Link bellow and scroll down to locate the TumbleBooks Database Links.

Follett Destiny Discover eBooks and Databases

Follett is offering thousands of free eBooks and several free databases through September of 2020.  To access this resource follow these steps:

1.  Go to destinydiscover.com

2.  In the location box it says "Any Location."  Do not change.

3.  In the School box enter "Follett eLearning, McHenry, IL" and click Go!

4.  To login click on the "LogIn" Button and enter:

Username:  guest

Password:  follett


MackinVIA eBooks and Single Sign-In Database Access

MakinVIA has given us over 5,000 free eBooks through September of 2020.  MackinVia also offers free single sing-in access to 20 databases.  To access this resource follow these four steps:

1.  Go to https://www.mackinvia.com

2.  Leave the school name blank.

3.  Enter the username = chinook1

4.  Enter the password = ctes


World Book Online

World Book Online is an online encyclopedia for K-6 Students.  To access this resource you will need to follow the link bellow this text and enter the username and password asd20home.

BrainPOP Junior and BrainPOP

BrainPOP Junior and BrainPOP are databases with animated educational videos, quizes, articles, games, puzzles and more.  You can use our school's username and password to access this resource.

Pikes Peak Public Library Remote Library Card Access

To check out eBooks from the PPPL Catalog you must have a library card number and pin.  During the library closure you can obtain a library card remotly by following this link and submiting an online form:

With a PPPL Library Card and pin patrons can check out electronic books from the PPPL Collection.  To search for a book follow the hyperlink bellow this text, select "Digital Catalog" from the drop down menu in the upper right corner of the screen (next to the house icon), and type in a subject, title, or author.  Finally, click on the green search button.  

If a book is available to download you will see a blue button on the right side of the book description that reads "Download."  If the book is not available you can place a hold on the book by clicking on the blue "Place Hold" button.

Discovery Education

Discovery Education is a database of educational videos, lessons, and activities.  To login students need to enter their ASD20 Login Credentials:
