The mission of Chinook Trail's Bring Your Own Device to
school
program or BYOD, is to better prepare our students for the demands of the future in a global society. We believe giving students better access to technology is just one of the many tools that will keep them engaged and allow them to create, problem
solve
, develop questions and collaborate with other 21st Century learners.
Who?
4th and 5th-grade students participate in the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device to School) program to support a personalized approach to learning in the classroom.
What?
Students may bring their own device to school each day to engage in meaningful learning opportunities.
When?
We have iPad registration during fall testing days.
Why?
To support each learner through the seamless integration of technology, in a safe and nurturing environment. The BYOD program enables us to move beyond the capacity of traditional computer labs allowing us to incorporate technology into the classroom in a purposeful and meaningful way.
